The Advantages & Disadvantages of Lasik Eye Surgery

Lasik is a laser surgery used to restructure the cornea of eye also known as Laser in Situ Keratomileusis. In this surgery, a laser is used underneath the corneal in situ or flap to reshape the cornea. Excimer laser, which is a highly specific laser, is used in this surgery. This laser was specially designed for treating errors of refraction, improving vision, reduce the number of eye or completely eliminate the need of wearing glasses or even contact lenses. Cornea, which is the front transparent covering of the eye, is restructured with the help of laser surgery.
